The Friends of Koko Head Elementary School(Friends) is a non-profit educational service corporation established in 1954. As the Parent/Teacher Organization for Koko Head, Friends’ mission is to support teachers and staff as they educate the next generation of scholars, leaders, and global citizens.

President: Michelle Schall
Michelle Schall is the mother of Malia Torres (second grade). Born in Washington D.C., Michelle moved to the islands with her family in 1986. Having lived in hotels much of her childhood, she naturally worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. Michelle appreciates everyone’s support in her new role as President of Friends. She also serves as the school’s coordinator for Box Tops for Education.
Originally from the Seattle area, Jen Broomell is a mom to two awesome sons: Tyler (third grade) and Wylan (first grade). She and her family moved to Oahu two years ago from Italy (where her boys were born). Not only is she a former flight attendant & military wife, she is also Koko Head Elementary’s resident sidewalk painter, lunch clerk, library and classroom helper, and Cobra costume liaison. She is super excited to be VP of Friends!

Anne Wood is a proud mom of two Jackson (Alumni) and Addison. Originally from Michigan, Anne has lived on Oahu for over 20 years and works for Tabora Gallery. She is committed to continuing the efforts of those before her, providing our children with opportunities to succeed.
Webmaster: Jason Ching
Jason Ching is the father of a Koko Head graduate and a current Koko Head student. Having been actively involved on the Board as President with the Friends of Koko Head for the last seven years, he is thrilled to help usher in a new generation of leadership. He enjoys helping around the school wherever he can!
